Hello Everyone,
I know that it has been a long time since I've made an entry here. I will try to do better from now on. I just wanted to comment on a couple of things. I will try not to ramble.
I have been working hard to get my websites up and running. All the time working and going to school.
www.carolinaangel.com is divided into 2 seperate areas
1- Carolina Angel (pertains to people) friendship, tolerance, bullying & discrimination. We are trying to bring people together to end bullying & discrimination by replacing it with love, friendship and tolerance.
2-Carolina Angel Foundation (pertains to animals) making the lives of our animal friends better. Working to bring information & education together in order to provide donations to shelters finding forever homes for the homeless and abused animals.
www.carolinaartistsdream is to promote my artistic endeavors. I am available to paint childrens' wall murals and wall hanging as well.
Since, the area in which I live is home to mostly seasonal work. I have to find a way to supplement that income during the off season. Off season is considered, Sept - April here. I love to paint however so I enjoy doing that any time of the year and am more than happy to continue to do so even during the busy summer months. If you, or anyone you know lives in the Myrtle Beach area and would like to have a mural painted please feel free to contact me by email to make the arrangements at katrina@carolinaangel.com I will be posting photos of wall hangings that are available, as well as those that can be personalized for you. There are some examples of my work on the site and I plan to add more as soon as possible.

I hope that in the coming months, those of you who are in the Myrtle Beach area, will contact me so that we can put together some cool activites that will further our common desire to stop bullying, and discrimination. It is only by coming together and standing up against the wrongs that are out there that we can bring an end to them. No one person is better than another, we all are made of the same things....Sodium, Potassium, Calcium, Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Sulfur, Magnesium, Chlorine, Copper, Zinc and a bunch of other stuff that most people don't even know what they are. But, if all of these things make up the human body, then we all must be the same, equal. Yes, we each have been given characteristics that make us an individual ( imagine trying to find a specific person lets say a friend, when every single person looked exactly the same. Talk about your mistaken identities, you might never find that person). But while on the outside our appearance may be as different as night and day, on the inside we are the same.
We need to stand up and say enough! We need to come to each others aid when they are being singled out and discriminated against. We need to see bullies for what they really are, someone who has internally low self-esteem. Who needs to draw attention away from themselves (through bullying & discrimination) in order to preserve themselves from being found out. From giving people a chance to see that they really aren't any better than anyone else. It's their self defense, and it's one that has been used for decades maybe even centuries, by various groups for example the KKK, by Hilter ( not a bad person to study if your inclined to see how one person can take his insecurities (for fear people will see him for who he really is) and use them to create a large group of people who will pick up his cause and spread it like wildfire. People like Napolean, talk about your insecurities. And their are others, just pick up a history book.
We need to expose these people for who they really are and let them know that we will not stand for it anymore. Because these people bully and discriminate out of fear; they will back done when confronted by a group larger than themselves. They are insecure not stupid.
So, ok I am rambling a bit maybe. But, I just want you to know that you ARE special, you ARE loved and you ARE NOT alone!
If you or someone you know is going through a difficult time with these issues, please let them know you are there for them. I have provided phone numbers below for various hotlines that can be of help when someone is in danger. Yes, I said danger....there is no time to fool around when someone is in a difficult situation, it can progress into one they don't feel they can deal with alone anymore very quickly.
There should not have to be an Amanda Todd, people really dropped the ball here. I know that it can be difficult to have a person in your life who is being bullied, and you don't know how to help. But, we have to do a better job of letting them know that they are not alone!
I am going to ask you today, to go to someone and just give them a hug and tell them they are not alone. I'm not going to tell you who that person should be - you decide. It can be anyone. The point here is to exercise your ability to do so in order to be ready when it is really needed. A hug is one of the most amazing things! Even if the person you hug isn't having a bad day or feeling low, that hug will still raise their self-esteem and bring them a warm feeling within.
Then when you find someone who is not having a good day or is being abused or bullied or neglected or discriminated against, you will be ready to step up to the plate, to give that person a hug and tell them that they are not alone. That may be the one thing that helps them hang on another day.
Obviously, if you know someone who is possibly suicidal, you need to take action. Don't think that someone else will do it. It could be too late.
